Langley Castle Hotel is a 14th Century castle nestling in the Northumbrian valley of the South Tyne.
Built in 1350, during the reign of Edward III, the castle has retained its architectural integrity and is regarded as one of the few medieval fortified Castle Hotels in England.
Set in its own ten acre woodland estate, the castle's 7 feet thick walls provide a peaceful and tranquil refuge in which to escape from today's hustle and bustle to a bygone age.
The eighteen guest rooms, all with private facilities, are luxuriously appointed. Some have private features such as a four-poster bed and a window seat set in the 7ft thick castle walls. Although the Castle itself was built in 1350, the sauna and spa bath in some rooms mean that your stay with us won't be memorable for the privations of medieval times, but for the comfort of the 20th century without its pressures.
Castle View and the Lodge are conversions of other listed buildings within the grounds commanding magnificent views of the Castle itself. All guests have full access to the Castle, where meals are served. Some of the rooms have separate seating areas, complete with sofa beds, perfect for the family or as a meeting room
